The Harvest is Plentiful

In Genesis 46:3-4, God told Jacob that the Lord would make him a great nation, promising that He would go with Jacob and his family to Egypt and “ I will surely bring you up again .” God would birth the nation of Israel, beginning with the seventy of Jacob’s family, as reported in Genesis 46, as well as Joseph and his family already there, and then deliver them. In Exodus 1, Scripture says that the sons of Israel would be fruitful and increase significantly, multiply, and become exceedingly mighty for a season. However, once the Pharoah who favored Joseph was gone, a new leader would place them in hard labor for hundreds of years.   Now, after this, the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. And He was saying to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers [ ergates – laborer, worker] are few; therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.   Watchman Nee (1903 – 1972) became a Christian in mainland China in 1920 at seventeen and began writing in the same year. Throughout the nearly thirty years of his ministry, the Lord clearly demonstrated that Watchman Nee was a unique gift from the Lord to His Body for His move in this age. He was responsible for the establishment of more than 4,000 house churches throughout China. In 1952, he was imprisoned for his faith; he remained in prison until he died in 1972. His words remain an abundant source of spiritual revelation and supply to Christians throughout the world. One of his greatest works was “Spiritual Authority.” The truths it promotes are essential to understanding and living the life of Christ in this present world. I highly recommend it to all believers. That book has inspired this writing.   Introducing the Kingdom Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be hand

According to orthodox Christianity, one of the recognized requirements of being a Christian is the belief in the Trinity, namely that the Godhead consists of three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), all fully divine, equal, with unique roles and responsibilities. Throughout Old Testament times, the Scriptures do not often distinguish between the Father and the Son, but the Holy Spirit is uniquely identified as the Spirit of God or Holy Spirit. Unlike the new covenant introduced by Jesus at the Last Supper, in which the Holy Spirit would indwell believers in Jesus, the Old Testament role of the Spirit of God was ”upon” certain leaders and craftsmen.   The Lord, therefore, said to Moses, “Gather for Me seventy men from the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and their officers, and bring them to the tent of meeting, and let them take their stand there with you. “Then I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit, who is upon
